This turned out pretty good, but the mass at the end of the trash can shuttle puts quite a moment on the mounting points along the base.  If I could do it over, I would have used a lighter weight connector board AND I would have painted it.  It currently looks unfinished (when opened).  But works very well for storing our trash and recycle out of sight.
